Sudan and Darfur.A history of the Genocide part oneI realize I usually post things that are meant to be funny. But this is not meant to be funny. This is letting everyone know that right now a lot of people are being killed in Darfur. And this is their story.I will post part 2 next weekDay after day in the southern part of The Sudan people are killed for no reason. The world is dangerously moving towards being desensitized by it all. However as a human being and as a Jew who sees parallels with the holocaust I feel it is my duty as a person to make everyone aware of certain facts. In 1989 General Omar-Al-Bashir overthrew democratically elected Prime Minister Sadeq al-Mahdi.Al-Basher immediately banned all political parties, repressed the press, and dissolved Parliament upon assuming control of the nation. He then became Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council for National Salvation (a newly established body with legislative and executive powers over the country), and assumed the posts of chief of state, prime minister, chief of the armed forces, and minister of defense.-taken from wikkipedia-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_al-BashirHe had risen so fast because he was in charge of fighting the civil war in the south.Almost Immediately general Bashir figured out that he would have to use extraordinary force and find a way so that he would stay in power for a long time.So what did he do?He allied himself with an Islamic extremist preacher who has an M A in law from the university of London and Ph.D. in Law, Sorbonne, Paris, 1959-1964 named Sheik Hassan Al-Turabi He made Turabi the speaker of the parliament and then adopted sharia Islamic law the law of the landAnd once General Bashir allied himself with Turabi to give himself more power he had Turabi arrested and put under house arrest. Then the Sudanese army which has been commanded by different officers since 1990 came up with an idea. They decided to kill people in the south because they were different (they are Christian and other non Muslims). And in doing so they set up a paramilitary group called "The Janjaweed" which is commanded by some officers or ex officers of the Sudanese army. One of the guys in command is a Lt Colonel and is in charge of the military police in the West Darfur region. |
One of the guys in command is a Lt Colonel and is in charge of the military police in the West Darfur region. He is also an in-law of the Sudanese president. So it?s impossible that Bashir does not know what?s going on.Since 2003 somewhere between 200,000 to 400,000 people have been killed by the Sudanese army and their surrogate janjaweed militia. The United Nations keeps on putting resolutions for UN troops to enforce a cease fire and protect the villagers so that they are not killed anymore. But they have been blocked through the efforts of China and Russia. Why would they do something like that?Well because SUDAN has a lot of oil and they sell it to Russia and China. And sometimes they just barter it for weapons. In 2005 the deputy defense minister of Sudan showed up in Moscow and got $950 million dollars worth of weapons without paying anything.Your guess is as good as mine if he told them basically " you can come to my country and take all the oil you want and can we have like 20 Mig 23?s and some outdated HIND helicopters so we can kill people. You just pretend you have no idea what we need those for. Thanks for playing dumb, Vladimir."(Not actual transcripts of conversation)You would think that the Sudanese military after perpetrating genocide would be finished with creating parallels to the Nazis. But no they are not finished. They want to "resettle" people nowFrom the Sudan Tribune on Sunday:"Maj. Gen Abdel-Rahim Mohamed Hussein, Sudan?s Minister of Defense, was reported to have stated in a press conference at the Sudanese Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday March the 13th 2008 at 11:45pm in an answer to the question whether it was true that the Government of Sudan (GOS) was planning to settle Five Million Egyptians mainly from Upper Egypt, the Nile valley south of Cairo, in the Northern Region "Shamaliya" by saying: ? If we assume the argument that the government seeks to resettle 5 million Egyptians in northern region why not? What is good of 8 million people in Darfur, all of whom are Africans came from abroad.Isn?t it better for you those who come from Egypt or those Africans who have come from West Africa?!"http://sudantribune.com/spip.php?page=imprimable&id_article=26459So in essence Darfur was just the beginning. In Part 2 I will talk more about how the Sudanese government survives and more evidence will be presented showing their guilt in the slaughter of innocent men, women and Children. |
