Here we are...?week 32 of the Group Blogging Experience (GBE)!!!?Details here.How appropriate that this week?s GBE topic is diet and fitness!?For the past month I have been half-heartedly doing Weight Watchers.?I lost a pound; gained a few, skipped a week, and now I?m back where I started.?I didn?t put much energy into the weight loss effort, as you can see by my results.?Something changed for me this week and I finally got that flash of motivation.?? I started the week positively brimming with optimism and enthusiasm.?Of course that came crashing down due to some fighting with my teenage daughter but I?m feeling good again!?I feel like I?m letting go of some emotional baggage that I?d been hanging on to, so even if I don?t lose many physical pounds, my steps are certainly much lighter today than they have been in quite some time.I don?t do well when I?m "dieting".?I love food and I?ve got that nasty rebel streak so once something is forbidden I want it!!?Telling me I can?t eat certain foods simply sends a trigger to my body to crave them.?Keeping that in mind, I?m trying to focus on the foods that I love that are healthier.?And I love a lot of healthy foods.?I?m simply taking this one meal at a time, one food decision at a time.?One thing that helps is I love exercising.?

One thing that helps is I love exercising.?I, in a strange and sick way, enjoy that hour I spend in the gym.?I spent time walking with my friend yesterday and that was great!?We walked two miles and just yakked the whole time, so it wasn?t even monotonous.?With the weather getting nicer I?m excited for more opportunity to get outside for my exercise.?I may even pull that bike out of the basement and go for a ride!At different points in my life I?ve been 50 lbs lighter and 50 lbs heavier than I am right now.?I know when I was lighter, I looked way better (damn was I HOTT!!)and felt better.?I know when I was heavier; I was depressed and looked far worse.?(Burnt those pics)?I won?t say I?m happy with my current weight, I don?t like the way I look, but I am comfortable, which is a large part of the problem.?If I felt disgusting it would be much easier to do what needs to be done to lose the weight.?I?ve set a goal for myself.?I will lose 15 lbs by Memorial Day.?I?m putting that out there now and making myself accountable to it.?Y?all wait?I?ll be posting about my weigh-in when I reach that goal?
