| I would like to tell you that I had a fun-filled, eventful weekend.Alas... it isn't so.Leo was grounded, so there was a lot of "Quit moping and go back to your boring room of doom!" being yelled by me.He is in the midst of major punishment.I am hoping to deter him from a life of crime.My mom bought my kids some kind of foam dinosaurs that hatch from eggs.Immerse the eggs in water for a few days and out pops a raptor or something.After about a day they looked like this.Gave me the fucking creeps.And speaking of eggs (how often can you use that line as a segueway?)...Went to water my one, single plant yesterday and there was a nest in it.Future birdlings!!I have never had good luck with a situation like this, so I am staying the hell away and crossing my fingers.Speaking of bad luck (I am the queen of segueways today.... bow before me)...I got pulled over this morning on the way back from taking my kids to school.Apparently I was speeding.I have never, I repeat...NEVER, been pulled over for speeding.(I have twice been stopped for expired registration.I know you find that hard to believe because I am so well-rounded, put together, and organized, but it's true.I was let go with a warning both times.)I must have a face that cops love (even though I had bed head and was still in my pajamas...I was not looking cute.I'm sure I had nasty coffee breath too), because once again, I was spared.Thank the heavens, because I am so poor right now.Without fail, during this one week at the beginning of each month, I'm thoroughly convinced we're going to go bankrupt and lose everything.It is always during this time that I run out of something crucial to my comfortable existence.May's spotlight product is my very expensive shampoo and conditioner.AND my moderately expensive facial cleanser.AND (will the madness never end?) |
