| Imagine two runners on bases your up and this is the college finals.You've never hit a home run.Your team is counting on you.You?take a ragged breath and see the ball coming at you with great speed.You hear the crack of the bat and see the ball soar.You exhale as the ball clears the fence.The adrenilian pumps as you race toward first in shock and awe as you've just hit your very first HOME RUN!!!!? Your imagination runs wild and your head swirls as you run past first.Drats, in your enthusiasm you missed the plate.You spin around to touch it when a deafn' sound connents with your ears..Seconds later your leg throbs as you fall onto the ground.The pains intensity was beyond the scope of words.Moments pass.The umpire yells if your team touches you the Home Run wont count.Unable to even move your heart and mind comprehend your finished . When two young girls from the opposite team come, Approching the Umpire they ask can they move you?They gather the you up one on each side and take you back to first allowing you to touch base.As they get to second and again make sure you touch the base. |

When?I hear this story I am amazed and inspired.Today in church we talked about what if we all helped each other get Home.Its not a race of who has the most toys wins.The game is that we all make it home.We need communication,relationships can not last without words.Speak the truth and do it with love.We need accountability Gods Word is the sorce of truth.We need Respect no one is better than anyone else,we are all made in Gods image.God gives some to shape?you and others for you to shape.Lastly we need Equality comparrison is a killer.Jealousy can not be tolerated.Define it and defeat it.?Using these as tools we C.A.R.E. and each day we can find opprotunities to help a person make it to Home Plate.Below is a video of which the story above came. |
